I might as well do this. My first Tokyo Jihen experience came with Killer Tune. A friend showed to me when I told her I was getting into Shiina Ringo's music and after that I was like "FUCK SHIINA! VARIETY COME TO MEEEE!" The rest is history xD

I MIGHT AS WELL. I heard about Tokyo Jihen when they came out. I became a Shiina Ringo fan around the time she released Ringo no Uta and shortly after TJ was announced. After hearing the album, I bought it and it was one of the best album purchases I ever made. I've been a TJ fan since then and even though we had some ups and downs (WHY DID YOU LEAVE HZM AND OMG FUCK YOU VARIETY) I was pretty glad to be a TJ fan. And yeah, 60 chars remaining. But yeah, I'll miss TJ. They were a class act.

aw man but i loved variety

I actually heard about Tokyo Jihen from very unlikely source, I have read on a fighting game website that a character from the video game Guilty Gear(i-no) was based off. Shiina Ringo, I became interested and checked out the Band. It was amazing, and I instantly fell in love with Shiina Ringo and Tokyo Jihens style. Since then,I cant go a day without listening to a few of Tokyo Jihens/Shiina Ringos songs. I am still sad that I wont have the chance to see them live ):

Sticking SR/TJ thoughts in your ask! I've been listening to Ringo since I was 15, and I was soooo enamored with her despite only having like 5 songs by her. I just knew there was something so special about her. Especially since at the time I was hoping to find a "female j-rock artist" since most of the j-music I was exposed to was male j-rock bands (both visual kei and non) & female/male j-pop. Shiina Ringo & Tokyo Jihen were the breath of fresh air I was looking for+so much more. blah blah etc

Thanks!

Tokyo Jihen/Shiina Ringo stories?

Since today marks the official end to Tokyo Jihen, I want to hear people’s stories on how she/the band are important to you, why they’re important, life events you associate them with, how you got into them etc. ANYTHING.

I love hearing stories!

If anyone wants to do this, send your story in an ask, submit, and if you can fit it in, just answer this post. Feel free to reply with a photo, as well. I just want some positive energy. :3
